Anzac Square Adventure - Brisbane

Anzac Square is located along Adelaide St. It is beautiful, easy to explore and feels like an outdoor museum in a park. There is so much history in this place and at times just standing there feels like being in the past.

Photo shows the opposite of Anzac Square. There are lots of shops selling a variety of things.

This is a wonderful place to explore, especially for children. The people of Brisbane have done a great job to maintain these old buildings and to remember those who had contributed to peace.

Brisbane City - The Old And New

Brisbane is a city of the old and new. The church below is called St Andrews which is near the
Central train station. The road in front of the church is Creek St and walking down  Creek St is easy
as it is going down hill.

It is interesting that the church is surrounded by modern tall buildings. The design and the red bricks used to build this church tells a story of a bygone era.

The map below can be obtained from the information centre in Queen St Mall .
It is easy to plan the places to visit in Brisbane, as it shows all the interesting places which can be
found in each street. This map is a great help in discovering interesting places by foot.

St Johns Cathedral is another interesting place to explore which is along Ann St.

Down Creek St which meets Adelaide St which runs from left to right in this picture.

When walking down Creek St, do stop to look up at the buildings, as the designs are interesting as well as beautiful. The design of the buildings certainly shows the changes that have taken place over the years.

It is interesting to find the statue of two kolas on top of this building at the point where Creek St meets Adelaide St.

It is interesting to see the old and new buildings along Adelaide St.

It is interesting to notice the design of the ceiling of this walk path along Adelaide St.
